Scientists score new victory over quantum uncertainty

An anthropological linguist has shown that the language of the Piraha, an Amazonian tribe, lacks number words and as a result the people have a difficult time performing common quantitative tasks. The findings add new insight to the way people acquire knowledge, perception and reasoning. The study highlights the unique insight we gain about people by studying indigenous languages.
